Engraved baton from Trou Magrite

Perforated batons were probably hunting tools, used either to straighten spears or as spear-throwers.

This engraving on a reindeer antler is an enigma. Its complex design of wavy lines sometimes underscored with cross-hatched lines remains wide open to interpretation: an eye, the figure of an animal, a map, or even female genitalia.
